Ordering

How do I place an order?

To place an order please visit www.sweetandmaxwell.co.uk.
For Round Hall products please visit www.roundhall.ie.
For print sales enquiries, including bulk purchases and eBooks, please contact Julie Johnson.

After you've ordered

After completing your order we will send you an order acknowledgement email with details of the items you have ordered and an order reference number.

Delivery charges

Products from Thomson Reuters (Professional) UK Limited are despatched from the UK and delivery charges do not apply to mainland UK, Orkney, Shetland and the Western Isles.  Delivery charges do apply to all other EU countries and the rest of the world.

There are no delivery charges for Round Hall products despatched to the Republic of Ireland and the UK.

If you would like a quotation for products including shipping charges before you order, please use the Customer Support general enquiry form.

When will I receive my order?

For domestic orders, we aim to deliver your order within three to five working days of stock availability if you are an existing customer.  Delivery times may vary for new customers and orders being shipped outside of the UK.

How do I change or cancel my order?

Because most orders for in-stock items are despatched on the day they are received, you can usually only change your order on the day it was placed; please telephone our Customer
Support team with your order number and they will update or change your order if possible: 0345 600 9355.

To change an order for an in-stock item after the day on which it was ordered, please wait for it to be delivered and request a return using the Customer Support general enquiry form

Orders for out-of-stock items, or those not yet published, can be changed at any time before the item is in stock or has been published.  Please telephone our Customer Support team with your order number and they will update or change your order if possible: 0345 600 9355.

My order has not arrived

If your order has not arrived within 7 days, please contact us on 0345 600 9355 or use the Customer Support general enquiry form

Customs issues

There are two issues that arise from time to time:

If the despatch note or covering documentation does not specifically state that the item is tax exempt, it could get held up until the tax is paid, or until the Customs department are given proof that the item is tax exempt.

Some Customs departments add handling charges, which are sporadic, and which vary in amount.  These charges must be paid by the customer; they are not charges made by either Thomson Reuters  or our delivery agent.
