University of Greenwich Moves to the Next Level with HighQ

To standardise, streamline, and significantly enhance the operation of its legal service, the University of Greenwich has adopted Thomson Reuters HighQ, the modern, adaptable solution to simplify legal processes and facilitate legal project management in one place.

The University of Greenwich was founded in 1891, and is one of the UK’s leading higher education institutions. It has three campuses across London and Kent which educate more than 19,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students, a group which represents more than 130 different countries around the world. Among its notable alumni are two Nobel Laureates, major UK and international political figures, and business leaders, as well as renowned performing artists, authors, and athletes.

In selecting HighQ, the University of Greenwich sought a solution that would enable it to standardise the requests process for its legal service, as well as track and manage the progress of legal matters.

In addition, HighQ provides the university with a significantly more robust and user-friendly document management platform, including the ability to quickly analyse and classify significant volumes of documents using the Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities available within HighQ.

“The HighQ platform will help us to monitor and plan workloads of staff who work on legal and related queries,” said Daniel Scannell, Legal Counsel at the University of Greenwich. “Thanks to HighQ, we can now track trends that will lead to targeted training and template development, as well as analyse response times by query type, requestor, and advisor. The robust workflow features available in HighQ will also enable us to better align our processes involving other teams such as information compliance, procurement, and insurance.”
