Madrid Court of Arbitration Transforms Digital Case Management with HighQ

To drive business efficiency and collaboration and improve the online client experience, the Madrid Court of Arbitration has adopted Thomson Reuters® HighQ, the connected, automated workplace collaboration solution that facilitates and streamlines project, litigation, transaction, portfolio, and compliance management all in one place.

The Madrid Court of Arbitration was founded in 1989 as an internal division of The Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of Madrid—a public law corporation with more than 130 years of history—to administer arbitral proceedings. Since that time, the Court has served as the forum for numerous domestic and international commercial arbitrations, aligned with international standards and guided by rules which lie at the forefront of the industry worldwide.

Using the project dashboards which feature status and activity tracking along with powerful data visualization, the Court now benefits from a clear overview of all ongoing cases in one place, enabling more efficient and, for the first time, fully digitized project management. Adopting HighQ has also created operational efficiencies, with time-consuming tasks reduced through conditional automation rules, such as sending custom email reminders.

The flexible, user-friendly cloud-based platform allows for secure file sharing and document management, as well as enterprise social networking and productivity tools for real-time communication. These capabilities will ensure that arbitrators, claimants, and respondents can easily be invited to and collaborate on the platform.

In addition, the Court now has access to the strong security capabilities offered by HighQ. With single sign-on, granular permissions, and activity tracking and reporting, data remains highly secure, and involved parties can securely share files and sync documents to their digital devices.
