Venue hire agreement
A standard document for the one-off hire of a venue for a business function or event where the supplier provides catering and other agreed services. This pro-supplier agreement, for use in business-to-business (B2B) transactions and governed by the law of England and Wales, sets out key commercial terms in a "Hire Details" section and the main legal terms in the "Venue Hire Conditions." This standard document establishes a licence to occupy rather than a tenancy and details the customer's obligations regarding the use of the venue. It addresses crucial aspects such as the charges and payment structure, guest numbers, and the provision of catering and equipment. Key clauses focus on limitation of liability, cancellation rights and data protection obligations where both parties act as data controllers. This agreement provides a robust framework for managing the legal and commercial risks associated with corporate event hire, clarifying the rights and responsibilities of both the supplier and the customer.
