Reservation of rights under a commercial contract
A standard document in letter format for an aggrieved party to use when it suspects a breach of a commercial agreement. The document provides a template for expressly reserving all contractual and common law rights and remedies while the party investigates the potential breach. It is designed to help the user avoid the risks of inadvertently losing legal options through delay or inconsistent actions. By using this letter, a party can formally notify the other party of its concerns, outline the potential consequences of the alleged breach and request further information, all while preserving its right to take future action, including termination.
