Execution clause: individuals
Standard form execution clauses, also known as signature blocks or attestation clauses, for an individual executing a simple contract or a deed under the laws of England and Wales. These standard clauses address various scenarios, including the straightforward signing of a simple contract, the formal execution of a deed in the presence of a witness, and execution on behalf of an individual who is physically incapable of signing. The clauses are drafted to align with the formalities for executing a deed as required by the Law of Property (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1989. These standard clauses also consider the specific wording requirements set by HM Land Registry for deeds involving registered land, such as transfers.
