Approved apprenticeship agreement (England)
An employment contract designed for an English apprentice which complies with the conditions for approved English apprenticeship agreements in the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 and relates to a sector where there is an approved apprenticeship standard. The contract sets out provisions specific to apprenticeships, such as the practical period, the amount of off the job training, and the relevant apprenticeship standard. It also incorporates the required statutory particulars under the Employment Rights Act 1996, such as pay, hours of work, and holiday entitlement. For an apprenticeship agreement suitable for use in Wales, see Standard document, Apprenticeship agreement (Wales). For a contract of apprenticeship suitable for the common law regime in Scotland, see Standard document, Contract of apprenticeship (Scotland).
