Agreement to vary a contract
A standard document for amending an existing commercial agreement between two or more parties. The document provides a clear framework for formalising changes to a contract. It addresses how to identify the original agreement being varied and sets out different methods for recording the amendments, such as listing specific changes or attaching a conformed copy. A key focus is ensuring the variation is legally effective, with provisions for consideration to make the amendment binding. It also addresses the issue of obtaining a guarantor's consent to the variations.
