With court proceedings taking place online and clients relying on counsel to aid them in navigating changes within their own industries, the legal market was required to quickly adjust to confront the uncertainties of the pandemic. In turn, this forced the scales of work-life balance for professionals to tip precariously. Referencing the shadow of normalized inequality, some note that women lawyers have suffered more than their male counterparts. With ‘Choose to Challenge’ as the focus of this year’s International Women’s Day, our panel of industry leaders will discuss how the pandemic has affected the legal industry’s professionals and what organizations can be doing to help challenge such inequalities while building supports and services their professionals need to be successful in stressful times.
