Specialist executive coach and leadership development consultant


Katie has 20 years’ experience as a legal professional (both in-house and private practice) and was the Managing Partner of the Dublin office of international law firm, DAC Beachcroft LLP. In 2018 she set up her own business as an Executive Coach and Leadership Development Consultant, focusing on clients in the legal community. Her work encompasses 1:1 coaching (within law firms and for private clients); team & group coaching and the design and delivery of tailored professional development for in-house legal teams, law firms and corporate clients. She is currently working with a number of leaders in law firms & organisations to create innovative programmes that are immersive, dynamic and highly relevant to the changing needs within the legal sector.

Working alongside the legal profession, to support their thinking and planning for the future of law, Katie explores the challenges and opportunities identified by her clients and cultivates fresh perspectives, progressive strategies and pragmatic responses. In the current climate of disruption, uncertainty and ambiguity as lawyers look to integrate the needs of their people with the expectations of their clients, she brings understanding and vision to recognise the changes that are needed, and the tools to embed the behavioural shift required.

In her coaching and consulting work, Katie combines her analytical thinking style from her legal training with her creative and empathetic leadership development approach to ensure the focus is always on practical and workable solutions. She adopts a thinking partnership method in her consulting and brings her experience of working in high-performing teams and at a senior level in the law quickly to establish trust and rapport with her clients.

At DAC Beachcroft, Katie grew the Irish business to over 50 people in 9 years and sat as a member of both the Group and Executive Boards of the global business. Katie has a proven track record in building and sustaining high-performing teams and client relationships. During her tenure on the Global Board, Katie led the design, delivery and development of successful leadership development programmes at partner, Board and associate levels. She understands the need to implement training and professional development programmes at the highest level and works closely with her clients to identify their requirements; establish clear training goals; and achieve the stated outcomes.
